Anthropic started OSS Scanner, a free scanner that uses its AI models to look for vulnerabilities in open-source software. Projects in the group get scans at set times. According to Anthropic, the reports go to maintainers with no human check first. A project that can check the results gets them first. This can decrease the wait before the repair.
