HKT Payment will test a digital ID for AI agents in Hong Kong
The ID connects an AI agent to a known person, but it does not stop a hack that uses AI.
HKT Payment, a part of the Hong Kong company HKT, will test an agentic ID in a pilot project of the regulators. In August, the regulator added HKT Payment to its AI sandbox. The company makes the ID with the blockchain company Red Date Technology. The ID shows for which person or company an AI agent makes a payment or a money transfer. The ID is to decrease the risk of impersonation.
